Top Ten of 2013

1. We celebrated 2 years of marriage on June 3.  After a nice dinner, we spent the evening at Temple Square reliving our Wedding Day and where it all began.

2. We enjoyed success in our work/schooling.  Alison was promoted to a Lead Installer at DealerTrack and Eric continued his academic excellence at the University of Utah.  He will start an internship with Ernst & Young in January before finishing his bachelor's and starting his Master's program next fall.

3. We welcomed our first baby niece, Skylee Dallas, on May 5.  She’s the sweetest little girl and she’s brought immense joy.

4. Alison’s brother Jake came home from the Scotland/Ireland mission on May 15.  We missed him while he was gone and have had so much fun spending time with him since he’s been home.

5. We attended a wedding for one of Eric’s favorite missionary companions in Palmyra, New York.  The wedding was beautiful and we enjoyed feeling the spirit of all the Church sites in upstate New York.

6. After the wedding, we ventured to our favorite vacation spot, New York City.  We went to shows, saw the sites, and of course spent plenty of time at Yankee Stadium.

7. Baseball, as always, was a very important part of the spring and summer.  We went to an MLB exhibition game in Salt Lake in March, Phoenix in April to see the Diamondbacks/Dodgers, and New York in June to see our favorite team, the New York Yankees.

8. We spent Fall Break visiting important US History sites in Gettysburg, Washington DC, and Boston.  We felt the spirit of the Civil War veterans in Gettysburg where we toured the battlefield.  Washington D.C. was partially shut down for our vacation but we still saw plenty of monuments and went on several tours.  Boston is such a fun, unique city.  We spent time walking the Freedom Trail, whale watching, and eating delicious seafood.

9. We spent the 4th of July at Flaming Gorge with our family.  We played in the sun, caught salmon, and enjoyed time in the water.

10. We began a project to collect as many signed baseballs as possible.  Our collection has grown faster than we imagined and we’ve even met some baseball legends in the process.  Vern Law signed a baseball for us in Provo, and Pete Rose signed for us in Las Vegas.  Jason Bay and Clayton Kershaw also signed for us at batting practices before the baseball games we attended.

Merry Christmas,
Eric and Alison
