Weekend Hiking
Now that we are trying to be hikers we are on the lookout for fun hikes! This weekend we went up half of the Mount Grandeur Trail and Donut Falls. Here's our analysis:
Mount Grandeur
This hike was way fun and really pretty. We went with Dan, Kristin, and little Skylee. Skylee just loves hiking - it's so fun to go with her. We started late in the morning because Eric and I just love sleeping in on the weekends and unfortunately we had to turn back before we reached the summit to get back home. This hike was the perfect blend of beauty and difficulty. I am looking forward to doing this hike again.
Donut Falls
We went to Donut Falls after church on Sunday. Although we had a great time, it may have been a little too early in the year - the trail was still partially snow-packed in some areas.
The hike was pretty easy, perfect for an afternoon after work, but top to bottom it only took 90 minutes which is a little too short for a Sunday afternoon.
We are looking forward to more fun hikes coming up this summer!
