Just Another Day in the Happiest Place on Earth

Today was our last day with the whole family in Disneyland and we made the most of it. We got up this morning and got to the park when it opened. We had a full van so Jake and Bret sat in the back of the van.

We headed over to California Adventure to get some fast passes for Radiator Spring Racers. While we waited to ride it we rode a few other rides like Screamin', Toy Story, and the Tow Mater ride. We really just had a blast hanging around. Meg found a pin on the ground and gave it to Jake. As we walked around the park Jake looked for opportunities to trade for a better pin.

They looked so serious trying to decide if they wanted to trade

While we were walking through cars land music was playing and Blake and Debbie started dancing. Kind of like they did last week in Downtown Disney.

This morning we got to take Kent and Aleene on Radiator Springs Racers. It was so much fun. Aleene loved it and Kent was smiling throughout the ride. It is one of the best rides at Disneyland and we are so happy they got to experience it with us.

After our morning in California Adventure, we headed over to Disneyland. When Alison was 10 years old she came to Disneyland with her family. They took this picture in front of the park that includes her with all of her siblings. Today we recreated the picture (15 years later) in front of the park. We also got a picture with the whole family. Blake showed the lady who took the pictures for us a copy of the old picture on his phone. She commented they were so cute and Blake replied they still are.

We ran around Disneyland getting some fast passes and finding some food for lunch. Alison and I got lobster rolls from a stand near the haunted mansion. They were delicious! I can't believe we have never had them before. Then we headed over to ToonTown with Skylee. It was a lot of fun. Kristin and Dan have been priming Skylee for Disneyland for weeks and it worked. She ended up really loving Mickey Mouse. It was amazing to see how happy she was and how much she loved the Mick.

We spent a little while following Skylee around ToonTown. She was fascinated by everything. There was so much for her to do and see. It was great. After Toon Town, we headed to Main Street to get a spot for the parade. We found a great place on the curb. The parade is awesome, like everything else in Disney. Even as an adult it is fun to see all of the characters and to enjoy the music.

We told Debbie to look up and she got a little confused.

We kept riding rides throughout the day. We even got Aleene on a few roller coasters like Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. It was fun to see how much she enjoyed them.

Tonight we went to Fantasmic. They have started doing fast pass reservations for Fantasmic. We had great spots down by the river. They were the best spots Alison and I have ever had for the show. Aleene was very impressed, after the show Alison asked her how she liked it. Aleene replied that if you didn't like the show you need to talk to someone. It was pretty funny.

Tomorrow we will still be at Disneyland, but Blake, Debbie, Aleene, and Kent will be having other adventures. We will miss them. It has been so much fun to share the past few days with them. This has been a really wonderful family trip.
