Life is Good Today

Today was such a fun day.  We woke up early and headed to St. Petersburg to rent jet skis and enjoy more time on the Ocean.  I found a place online where we could rent jet skis, and they were great, but it took forever to get in the water.  Turns out in Florida, if you were born after 1988 then you have to have a Florida boating license in order to operate a jet ski.  Fortunately, they had the test at the rental facility so Eric and I studied very quickly and took the test. We passed with flying colors and they let us in the water.

Jet skiing in the Gulf of Mexico was so much fun.  It was easily one of the most fun things we have done on this trip.  Eric drove and I hung on.  In order to get out on the open water, we had to go through a pretty long channel without a wake.  It took a while, but it was probably good for Eric to practice without ocean wake before we got to the ocean.  Once we got to the ocean we went pretty quick.  It was so much fun.  In the end, we were turning to head back and we went a little too quickly and Eric and I both fell in.  It was really fun and felt so nice to be in the water.  Overall, jet skiing was a success!

After we jet skied we raced back to Tampa to get ready before the game.  All 4 of us showered and got ready in 30 minutes and then we were back out the door for the baseball game.  It was a whirlwind.  We got to the game in the bottom of the first inning.  The baseball game was great.  We were in the shade and although it was warm at the start of the game, by the middle it was so pleasant. Michael Pineda was great for the first three innings, and then we saw Dellin Betances.  Betances didn't have a great outing, but it's spring training so it doesn't count.  We also saw a lot of prospects today since the Yankees were playing a Split Squad.  It's fun to see the young talent who could potentially be the Yankees of the future! Balking Bob was the home plate umpire and so we saw two balks in the game. Overall, it was wonderful to be at a ballpark again. We love baseball!

After the game, we drove to Orlando.  The drive was about 90 minutes long so we were glad to be here when we arrived.  We checked into our hotel and then went to Downtown Disney for dinner.  We ate at food trucks in Downtown Disney and went to Ghirardelli for dessert.  Downtown Disney had a really fun atmosphere. There were a lot of live bands so everywhere we went we could hear live music.  The only downfall was that it was VERY crowded.  At one point there was a band playing Don't Stop Believing by Journey and my parents started dancing.  It was precious.

We are having the most wonderful trip and there's no one I would rather be here with than Eric and my parents.  We are so blessed!
