Magic Morning!

Day 2 in Disneyland the fun continued. Most of the family got up early and headed to the park for Magic Morning. Magic Morning is always the best. You can fit 3-4 rides in before the park even opens. We went over to Fantasyland and rode a few rides there first. Skylee loved not having to wait in line very long. Then we headed over and jumped on Space Mountain before the park opened.

Next, we headed over to Indiana Jones. Alison and I waited with Skylee while everyone else rode the ride. We did a rider swap so we could hurry and jump on once everyone else was done. While we were waiting we took Skylee up to Tarzan's treehouse. She was scared by the leopard because as soon got to it a loud roar played right at Skylee. She loved the rest of the treehouse - especially banging on the pots. It made her so happy.

After we rode Indiana Jones, we headed over to California Adventure. We got our fast passes to Radiator Springs Racers and the World of Color and then spent the day riding all of our favorite rides like Toy Story Midway Mania and Screamin'. It was a lot of fun. I also appreciated having people go with Alison to the Tower of Terror. I hung out with Skylee while they all went on it. Skylee and I explored Bug's Land. We jumped on the Ladybug Boogie and Skylee loved it. On this ride, you spin around inside a ladybug car while they play fun boogie-type music. Skylee was literally laughing out loud. Her joy was contagious.

At one point Alison and I went with Blake, Jake, Debbie, and Meg over to the Challenge Trail. They have a bunch of rope bridges, and other obstacles you can climb around on. We had a blast walking through the trail together. Jake kept pushing everyone down. One of the best lines was when he would say, " The time I pushed over my mom..." We also ran through parts of the course. I love how Disney has so much variety.

At one point Kent and Aleene went off on their own to ride a few rides. When we got done with our rides Debbie wanted to find them, but they weren't answering their phones. Blake and I went over to the Ferris wheel to see if they were over there. We looked all around, but they were no were to be found. As we were getting ready to head back to the group I looked across the lake and I spotted them in line to get on the Silly Swings. We ran over just in time to see Aleene going around on the ride. It looked like she was having the best time (she is so positive that she has loved everything here). Both Kent and Aleene liked the carnival-type rides by Pleasure Pier. It was great to see them be able to do their own thing and to find something they liked to do.

Skylee got into a pretty strange mood around dinner. We missed it but they found a dance party and Skylee apparently went crazy. When we did catch up to them she still was being goofy. She just wanted to run around and dance. It was pretty funny.

After dinner, we were hanging out waiting to go get our spots for the World of Color. They were playing some old 50's style music and Jake asks Kent if he knows how to jitterbug. Kent replies with an affirmative and then Jake asks Aleene the same question. When she also replies with a yes Jake asks them both why they were still sitting on their scooters. Before we knew it they were both up and dancing. It was a fun moment.

We all went to the World of Color show tonight. It is an incredible show. The lights, the music, the atmosphere in every way Disney puts in the perfect details. As I was watching the show I was thinking about how much happiness we all have had during our time together. The rides are fun, but it is really the special moments that I want to remember. Here Disney brings out the inner child in each of us. Through stories they make us laugh and cry and really bring us closer together. That is the magic of Disneyland.
