Our Busy Weekend

Summer is almost here!  One of our favorite parts of summer is baseball season of course.  The Bees have student season passes for $50, so Eric and I just couldn't turn down that deal and we spent our weekend at the ballpark.

Friday was the Bee's home opener.  We got to the park early, got situated behind left field, got some ice cream, and watched baseball.  The Bees lost this game but we still had a great time.  One of the Bee's players was a home run away from hitting for the cycle.  He had 2 at-bats to hit a home run but didn't get it.  It made us pretty excited for the rest of the season.

Baseball, ice cream, and keeping score

Saturday morning we got up and went running the SLC 5K.  We love this race.  We ran it last year liked it so much we decided to do it again.  Eric finished the race in 27:44 (a personal best), Dan finished in 28:36 and I finished in 34:00.  We all ran the entire way.  One of my favorite things about this race is they have Creamies at the end.  So refreshing.  And after burning all those calories, it seemed appropriate to eat a big breakfast at Jim's.

We spent the day with friends before heading to another Bee's game.  Jake, Meg, Mitch, and Melanie were at the game so we sat by them and had so much fun.  At one point Eric caught a shirt that said "I heart Honeybees."  I was not ok with it, so Jake wore it.  Meg was not impressed.  But it was hilarious.

We can't wait to go to more games throughout the summer!
