Animals

There are currently two cats and a dog living at Blake and Debbie's house with us. We have us CC cat and Blake and Debbie have Kitty, and their puppy, Blu. These animals provide so much love and entertainment. They are the best.

Seeing Blu every day is great. I love how excited he gets when I come home from work and the endless games of fetch that he wants to play. He is such a sweet, playful, and intelligent dog. He can be a bit mischievous and occasionally out of control (when we hit crazy Blu time). Spending so much time with Blu makes us really excited for when we will have our own puppy.

 CC has done surprisingly well adapting to life at Blake and Debbie's. Her ability to adapt was one of our biggest worries about moving here. Before the move, she didn't really like anyone but us. She has mellowed out a lot. She has made the peace with Blake and Debbie (meaning she lets them pet her and will hang out in the same room as them). She has even done really well when Skylee is around, which is a marked improvement from the way she acted in our apartment. The move has been really good for CC. She has let the other animals know the downstairs is her domain. For the most part, she and Kitty coexist peacefully, although there are occasional hissing matches. CC is doing better at getting along with Blu, but she hates it when he tries to herd her. When she has had enough she will his and swat. Blu has learned to be pretty wary of CC, although he does love to egg her on. When she gets riled up Blu acts like it is a game and will see how close he can get before she swats him on the head.

With the weather warming up the past couple of weeks, one of our favorite activities has been taking Blu for walks. He does really well on walks. We have taken him for walks around the neighborhood and around  Daybreak lake. Everywhere we go people who see him always say he is the cutest looking puppy.
