Two Weeks!
In two weeks we will officially be homeowners! The past week has been eventful. Every day we stopped by our house and every day there was something new. On Monday they installed the carpet, bathroom mirrors, light fixture in the master bathroom, and the glass in the master shower. On Tuesday they installed the rest of our shutters and our rain gutters. On Wednesday they installed our appliances.
There really aren't any big projects left. There is a touch-up here and there, but overall the house is nearly complete. We could not be more excited. It has been such a long process, but the end is basically here.
On Wednesday we took Alison's parents and grandparents to see our house. It was a lot of fun to give them a walkthrough. As we were leaving we met our next-door neighbors. They seem very nice.
We are busy getting ready to move in. On Monday night we purchased a washer and dryer and on Wednesday we bought our refrigerator. They will all be delivered shortly after we close. We have spent the past couple of weeks shopping for furniture and other household essentials. We are very ready to move in.
