Troff Family Top 10 of 2017

2017 was another wonderful year for our little family! Here’s what we’ve been up to:

1. We celebrated 6 years of marriage in June with a trip to Disneyland. This year was the best yet!

2. We bought our first home in Daybreak, Utah. We love our community, our neighborhood, and our house! It’s been really fun to put a home together and call it ours.

3. We adopted a blue merle, miniature Australian Shepherd puppy named Tex! He’s the sweetest pup. We’ve enjoyed playing Frisbee, fetch, and taking long walks around Daybreak Lake together.

4. Alison graduated with her MBA from the University of Utah in July! This was the culmination of 2 years of school while working full-time.  This is the first time we have both been out of school in the 6 years we have been married! We are loving all of our extra time, which we have filled with time together.

5. To celebrate being completely done with school, we took the trip of a lifetime to Israel. We enjoyed seeing where Jesus walked and taught in both Jerusalem and Galilee. And we shared some special spiritual experiences with Alison’s parents who came with us! This was Alison’s dream come true, since studying in the Holy Land in 2009.

6. We couldn’t travel all the way to the Near East without spending a few days in Egypt and Jordan. We saw the pyramids, sphinx, and some incredible Egyptian Art. Petra was also an amazing sight to see. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to travel to these places together.

7. We traveled with Alison’s parents and siblings to Philadelphia to attend Alison’s brother’s graduation. We had a great time exploring Philly and learning about American history. We are truly blessed to live in this great country. And of course, we couldn’t be that close to New York without stopping in for a Yankees game and some Broadway shows. It was a great trip!

8. We visited Disneyworld with Eric’s grandparents. We explored all 4 parks and even attended Mickey’s Halloween Party.  A highlight of the trip was enjoying Epcot’s Japan because that is where Eric’s grandpa served his mission several years ago. We really enjoyed spending time with Eric’s grandparents.

9. We saw country legends George Strait and Willie Nelson in concert! This was a dream come true for an old-school country music fan, like Alison. Eric is a good sport and also had fun at the concerts.

10. Alison celebrated 10 years with Dealertrack in November! She immensely enjoys working in the Automotive Industry. Eric is excited to join the accounting team at Sorenson Media this month! We have been very blessed to have such wonderful careers.

And as always, we are very grateful for the birth of the Savior that we remember each year at this time and the promise that our family will be together forever because of his amazing life, death, and resurrection.  Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

With Love,
Eric & Alison
