It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like a House

The weather started to turn really cold before we saw more progress on our house. We kept thinking that they would start framing any day, but nothing was happening. Then one day we drove by and there were piles of wood next to the foundation. They got all covered with snow from the first big snowstorm of the year.

It took a few days after they dropped off the wood, but finally, there was progress.

Once they started framing it went really fast.

When we left on our cruise our last stop before the airport was our house. At this point they had the second level framed and a lot of the interior framing was done too. We walked through our house and were able to visualize what the rooms will look like. This stage of the home building process has easily been the most exciting. We were a little sad we were going to miss seeing the daily progress while we were out of town.

When we got home from our cruise they had made so much progress. It actually looked like a house. We love it. Seeing the house framed makes it feel real. It also gives us more confidence we are on track to be in our house next spring!
