Our 2nd Annual Accounting Friends Christmas Party

Last night we held our annual Christmas party with the friends we made during the accounting program. Now that we are all working full time we don't get together as often as we did before. It is so fun to catch up and enjoy this wonderful season together.

We had a similar food to last year. I made a cheese plate with smoked Gouda, jalapeƱo pepper jack, and salami. I also made a couple of cheese balls and the same spinach artichoke dip that we had last year. Kyle and Sarah brought some delicious bacon-wrapped water chestnuts, John and Kara brought wassle, and Cameron and Ali and Coulson and Emily brought desserts. We had so much delicious food. One of the perks of staying with Alison's parents is that they finished their basement a few years ago and it is the perfect space for a party like this. We had lots of room for everyone.

Alison's parent's new puppy was a hit, especially with the kids. He ran around and played with them until he was all tuckered out. It was really cute. Cameron's son, Cash, was afraid of dogs and anytime Blu ran toward him he would start screaming. By the end of the party though he kept asking us where the dog went (by then he was upstairs with Alison's parents).

Like last year we had a white elephant gift exchange. This year though it wasn't very exciting. No one stole a gift or anything.

The party was a great success thanks to our group of friends. I love the Christmas season and the opportunity it provides to spend time with friends and family. I know I look forward to many more parties like this one.
