Halloween 2021

We had a great Halloween season this year. This year we had three days of fun activities.

Trunk or Treat

The company Alison works for hosted a trunk-or-treat at their office. Alison loved taking our nieces to office trick or treat and she was glad they brought back the tradition. Trunk or treat was even better. Since it took place after work I tagged along.

Alison and I debuted our 2021 Halloween costumes. We were classic Wanda and Vision from the Halloween episode of WandaVision. Our costumes turned out great. This the most committed I have ever been to a Halloween costume - I painted my entire face red. Our elaborate costumes made Halloween more fun this year.

We went to Kristin's house to pick up the girls. When Anna saw Alison she was a little confused and concerned. When she saw me, it was game over. She was freaked out by my costume. She grabbed Debbie's hand and stepped back. When we went to load Anna into her carseat she was having none of it and opted to run errands with Kristin.

Skylee was delighted to come to trunk or treat with us. There was a good turnout so she got a pile of candy. They also had donuts and hot chocolate. Everyone loved our costumes. We enjoyed visiting with Alison's co-workers. It has been a long time since we have gone to a work social event.

Halloween Party

On Friday night Kristin and Dan hosted a Halloween party. It was a great party.

Kristin and Dan set up a ballon arch we would use as the backdrop for our Halloween pictures. Anna especially loved using the photo props in her pictures.

There was tons of delicious food and spooky drinks - complete with frozen hands to keep the punch cold.

Out back there were games, a pumpkin carving station, and a bounce house.

Dan leveled up his Halloween costume with some help from Debbie. His Moses costume made him look like he just stepped out of the Ten Commandments starring Charlton Heston.

The party started at 7:00, so at 7:10 when no other kids had shown up Skylee began to worry, but her worries were unfounded. Before long the party was hopping.

Trick-or-Treat

On Saturday Alison and I took some candy to some of our neighbors. This has become a fun reverse trick-or-treating tradition for us, since we usually don't stay home on the night all of the kids go trick-or-treating.

We went over to Kristin and Dan's house to go trick-or-treating with our nieces. In years past trick-or-treating only lasted a few houses, but this year we walked all over their neighborhood. Skylee had a group of friends trick-or-treating with her and she was really into it. They had fun. Holly followed along and was the cutest trick-or-treating, until she fell asleep.

We loved Halloween this year. It was fun to dress up in great costumes and spend time with family.
