A Birthday Party for Anna Holly

Yesterday Kristin and Dan held a birthday party for Anna Holly. Since Anna was born a year before Covid-19 this is her first birthday party with friends. Alison and I showed up to help out and celebrate our niece. 

In the morning Alison and I went and picked up the birthday cake. Kristin had one of her very talented friends create the cake. It was quite impressive and quite heavy. We were a little worried about being able to transport it to Kristin's house in one piece, but we pulled it off. 

In the afternoon we went over to Kristin and Dan's house to help set up for the party. We gave Anna Holly a gift - an Elsa barbie doll. Anna loves all things, Elsa, right now. We played with her until her friends arrived. Once her friends got there they all played in the backyard while Alison and I visited with the other members of Alison's family. 

About 30 minutes after the party started Elsa arrived. This was a huge hit with the kids. She made the party easy for everyone else - she held a tea party with the kids, read them a story, and took photos. Since Anna Holly loves Elsa so much this was a dream come true for her. 

We were happy to celebrate Anna Holly today. Since she was a Covid-19 kid, it was fun to see her play with all of her friends. We are excited for her to be 3 - she is a fun and engaging little kid. We love her.
