Six - Date Night

January has been a slow month. For the most part, we have stayed close to home. We did get out to see the show Six at the Eccles Theater last night. We saw Six last year in New York. We liked the show, but we didn't love the show. When we heard it was coming to Salt Lake on tour we weren't in a hurry to see it again. Anytime a show comes to Salt Lake, I sign up for Lucky Seat if we are in town. For each show, they set aside a certain number of Lucky Seat tickets, a drawing is held and the winners can purchase the tickets at a great price. I have probably signed up for Lucky Seat to a few dozen shows and I have only drawn out twice - once for the Book of Mormon musical and now Six. With the great deal we got on tickets Alison and I were thrilled to see Six again.

We headed downtown in the early evening to grab a bite to eat before the show. We went to the Melting Pot. We haven't been there in a while, but it was as good as ever. We shared some cheese and chocolate before the show - this is our favorite way to enjoy the Melting Pot.

We arrived at the theater early to pick up our tickets. With Lucky Seat, you don't know where you will sit until you receive your tickets. We picked up our tickets and found out we were in row AAA. A quick Google search later we realized AAA is the very front row. They were amazing seats.

We enjoyed Six even more this go-round than the first time we saw it. The energy of the show was really fun and it seemed to play up in the bigger theater. We enjoyed being so close to the action. We could clearly see every facial expression and interaction of the cast and we could hear everything. It was really a great date night.
