7 months!
Seven months with you, baby girl—and what a month it’s been.
Your little personality is blooming more each day. You greet us with big, gummy smiles in the morning and love making eye contact with strangers until they smile back (which they always do). You’re curious, chatty, and endlessly expressive—your face gives away every feeling, and we love getting front-row seats to it all.
You’ve gotten so much stronger this month. You’re sitting up with more confidence, rolling both ways, and trying your best to scoot toward anything that catches your eye (usually something you’re not supposed to have—like our water bottles or the TV remote). We can see how badly you want to be on the move, and we know it won’t be long now.
This month also included your biggest adventure yet: your first trip to New York City! You were such a trooper on the plane, snoozing in our arms and flashing that charming smile at every flight attendant. In the city, you joined us for Yankees games, strolled through Central Park, and took in the bright lights and honking taxis like a true city girl. You especially loved people-watching—on the subway, from your stroller, and at every café table where we stopped to eat. We kept our days flexible for you, but you handled the pace like a champ. A real highlight was seeing you light up in FAO Schwarz and watching your little arms hug your new teddy bear. You were our favorite part of the whole trip.
Back at home, you’ve been loving solid foods—sweet potatoes, pears, and your new favorite: green beans. We’re learning what you like (and what gets spit right back out), but you’re always open to trying new things, especially if it is what we are eating.
You’ve also discovered your voice and enjoy babbling to yourself (and to us) throughout the day. You especially love practicing your “yayayayas” and squeals in the early morning hours—sometimes before we’re fully ready to be awake!
We’ve always known time moves quickly, but watching you grow brings that truth into sharper focus. Seven months ago, you were brand new in our arms. Now you’re this vibrant, giggling, determined little person—and we’re so lucky to know you.
Here’s to another beautiful month with you, Mads.
