Santa Photos - 2025

Every year Kristin takes her girls to Fotofly for Santa photos. They have such a good setup there. They bring in a Santa, but they also let parents dress up as Santa, which is great for younger kids who might feel a little unsure around him. Last year Kristin was thrilled that there were cousins to take photos together. I was excited for it too, even though Madeline was at a tough age for those types of pictures.

This year was completely different in the best way.

Madeline was at such a fun stage for photos. She was curious, excited, and just happy to be there. Alison picked out the cutest little outfit for her and it really felt like it was made for this moment. As soon as we walked in, Madeline lit up. She loved seeing her cousins and was fascinated by all the lights and decorations.

I dressed up as Santa this time and it made everything so much easier. She thought it was hilarious. She kept looking up at me and smiling and tugging on the coat and beard. She felt totally comfortable which meant we actually got the kind of photos we had hoped for last year.

By the end we had a whole set of pictures that we genuinely love. It felt like the perfect start to the Christmas season and one of those simple little memories we will always be glad we made.
