Ratatouille

Recently Madeline broke out her Ratatouille costume, or her “cozy rat suit” as she calls it, and I broke out my chef costume so we could do a little kitchen photo shoot together.

She fully embraced the role. Tiny whiskers, little rat ears, and the biggest grin running around the kitchen like she owned the place. She carried around a whisk and wooden spoon the entire time, completely acting out the role of a tiny chef. She kept saying “cozy rat suit” over and over and thought it was hilarious that dad was dressed up too. It felt a little bit like stepping into our own version of Ratatouille for the afternoon.

She’s going to outgrow this stage before we know it, which makes moments like this feel extra sweet. Right now though, she is the cutest little rat imaginable, and we are soaking up every second of it.
