Fun Day at Sea, Part 2

We slept in on our second sea day. When we woke up we lounged until we were hungry and then we headed to the dining room for sea day brunch. Alison kind of wanted to go to the Lido deck because the sea day brunch is kind of slow. It was very slow, but the food is better in the dining room. Plus even though it wasn’t on the menu they were able to round up some oatmeal and fruit so Alison was happy.

After breakfast, we headed up to the Lido deck where we spent the rest of the day. We found a couple of deck chairs and set up camp. I finished reading my book and Alison made progress in hers. We also took plenty of breaks to eat good food (misty tacos, burgers, and soft serve), jump in the pools (it was a very hot day), and go down the water slide. This is a really fun ship.

After spending the day on the Lido deck we returned to our cabin to relax and refresh before getting ready for the evening. We also decided to pack up our belonging tonight. We are sad that our cruise is coming to an end.

We ate our final meal in the dining room. Tonight we had Roldan as our server and he was great. They also had a really good menu. I had some Southern fried chicken and Alison mojito chicken. Both were excellent. We got our favorite melting chocolate cake for dessert, along with a baked Alaska. We cannot say enough good things about the level of service on this cruise.

Tonight we went to a couple last shows. They had a show called the Big Easy celebrating all things New Orleans. There were a couple of interesting scenes, but for the most part, it was kind of cheesy cruise fare. We also went to one last show at the Punchliners comedy club. I would say the comedy club was our favorite activity on the ship. Tonight we reentered the Mississippi river and are cruising toward New Orleans. We arrive early tomorrow morning and we will have one last day of vacation before heading home.
