They have finished framing our home. I mean there is still some work to do on the inside, but it is substantially done. Our house is finally starting to look like the home we envisioned. This stage of the home-building process is a lot of fun. Most days there is noticeable progress and we can see the plans we spent hours pouring over finally taking 3-dimensional shape.
They poured the slab while we were in Disneyland in October and our home was ready for framing.

It took a little longer to finish framing than the 2-3 weeks our builder thought it might take. That is par for the course with building a home right now. They started framing on November 10. The house started going vertical pretty immediately.

During the first week of December, they made a concerted effort to get our home to the framing finish line. They made a lot of progress in a short period of time.

They told us the framing would be done on December 9 and it is substantially done. There are a few things they need to adjust, but we are mostly there. They should begin the next stage of construction soon and we are still tracking to have a completed house in 10 months.
