Summa Cum Laude and First Day of Grad School

We've had a very exciting week this week!  Last Friday, Eric received an e-mail saying he was officially a graduate AND he graduated Summa Cum Laude.  That means he was in the top 1% of his graduating class. My husband is a genius, but I always knew that.  His diploma is in the mail and should arrive shortly!

Unfortunately, the break from school was short-lived and Eric was back on Monday for his first day of Graduate School.  I had fun telling everyone at work that Eric was back in school starting his Masters's Degree.  It's been very exciting.  This week is basically an orientation week, so he's been at school from 8:00 - 5:00 every day.  On Monday, the school invited families to come up for a back-to-school BBQ.  The food was delicious and the company was great.  We have some great friends in the accounting program - we are very blessed.

Scott, Eric, and Kyle - the first day of Graduate School
Scott, Eric, and Kyle have been friends since the beginning of the accounting program.  We have a lot of fun with them.  In fact, we went into the business building to get this photo and I spent the next 30 minutes playing with Kyle's 3-year-old son. In his active imagination, there was a bad guy chasing us, so we ran, hid, and even took a break to watch Batman on an imaginary TV.  It was so fun.

Needless to say, we are excited to see what this school year has to bring!
